A lovely salmon eggs bennie at a fair price. I'd definitely have this dish again. I saw a French toast go past to another customer and that looked good too. Friendly staff with a nice outlook where you can watch Dunedin's finest drivers navigate a simple roundabout. Entertainment, good food and service. Worth a try particularly if you can find a time when it's not too busy.

Can you believe this is $30?? Simply diced avocado, a bit diced tomato and cheese, with dried bacon.....anyone who's even not a chef can make this !!! no presentation at all, and it takes 25 mins to be brought to the table???? !!! service was cold too, worst cafe experience in NZ so far????

Yesterday, I phoned earlier in the day, to see if I could have the Egg's Benedict for dinner as I have allergies to other foods, the young person said they couldn't do that as they're not set up at nigh for that. He asked what couldn't I eat, I explained, he said that's fine just tell your waitress and she'll note it. Great I booked a table. We arrived on time, table ready, asked about drinks, then came the ordering, hubby order the Lamb Shank, I ordered the Chicken Filo Parcel, waitress comes back and explains that the Parcel has what I can't eat in it, so she recommended another Chicken dish with rice and green salad instead of slaw, I said that would fine thank you. Hubby's dinner looked awesome, mine was scraps of Chicken in a light batter with shredded lettuce and what I think was tiny off cuts of tomato no rice. Halfway through dinner, waitress asks is the meal ok neither of us answer, hubby finished his meal and while I'm still eating my Chicken she leans between us and removes his plate. I've never been more disappointed with a meal, service and price before. Never do you remove plates from a table until everyone has completed their meals, let alone reach between people to do so. Will never return to try again.
