Just a beautiful open space in the middle of the city that gives you a different view of the hustle and bustle around you, like time stood still. More places like this needed in cities.

Small park area down the road from the Railway station. Just head towards the settlers museum and you should see a large monument in the middle of the park. There are a few other monuments scattered across the park as well as a statue of Queen Victoria. There are a few seats near the monument if you wanted a place to rest. It also has a nice view of the first church located above it.

The Anzac Dawn Parade Service was held at the cenotaph, Queens Gardens this year in 2021. I went with my mother and sister. Despite it being Autumn, the grounds people did a lovely job of clearing the leaves and excess foliage for the service. Many thanks.

Cafe is a bit naff $22. For blue cod n chips. 3 fish bites does not equal 2 pieces of blue cod. And sea food chowder has never been grey anywhere else in the world...yuck!
